Regarding your doubt about Spybot, CNET has a high user rating for this software, so I assume its good software, but can conflict with other AVs unless you have Home edition paid one, not the free one. Hai and welcome to norton community Leofric, My concern is that, given CNET isn't the 'official' download source for Spybot, is that download actually safe? After some spurious activity, someone downloaded Malwarebytes and Spybot Search and Destroy to double check Norton's (NIS 2013) results (that being - nothing).
